Dear kind kids,
Today is Saturday, July 23, 2011. This week I have been in Omaha, Nebraska visiting family. You would not believe how hot it is there! One day the heat index was 124 degrees! And there is high humidity which makes your skin feel sweaty and sticky all the time. It also stays hot all night long! Sometimes it is hotter at night in Omaha than it is during the day in Oregon. It was a lot of fun seeing my family. We went bowling and played lots of games! Kids in Omaha start school in two weeks. I can't wait to start school so I can see all of you again!!

You must of had a lot of fun seeing your family. I just got back from my family reunion. I got to meet a lot of cousins that I didnt now I had. I had lots of fun. It is going to be very hot here today. I cant wait to go to 1st grade. do you know who my teacher is going to be? and are they as nice as you? If not, can I go back to your class?
