Oh No Number 2!

Dear  boys and girls,

Today is Sunday, July 20, 2014.  It is very hard for me to keep track of the days in summertime!  I guess that is why I forgot to write on Friday again.  The days are going by so fast!!  I spent a lot of time organizing some things in my house last week.  Do you like to clean and organize your bedroom?

The weather was so hot last week!  Mr. Prowse and I love to take Cruzer and Lucy to the Dog Park.  We had to go in the mornings before the weather became too warm.  It is very funny to ask the dogs if they are ready to go.  They know what that means and they get so excited that they spin in circles and start talking.  I don't know how to describe the noises they make.  It is not barking.  It is not crying.  It is somewhere in between.

I enjoyed today.  Mr. Prowse had a bike race.  He is so fast!  I was glad it was not so hot today.  When it is really hot, I would rather stay inside!  What do you do when it is really hot outside?  I hope you all are doing well!  Have you done a few more pages of your homework? :)

Love, Mrs. Prowse

Uh oh!

Dear boys and girls,

Today is Saturday, July 12, 2014.  I woke up this morning and thought, "Oh no!"  I forgot to write to my ducklings yesterday!"   I am so sorry!  Hee hee...remember when we read Make Way for Ducklings and I called you all "my ducklings"?

I was at Periwinkle every day this last week with a bunch of other teachers.  We were taking a class about how to better teach writing to the kids in our class.  Mrs. Dixon, one of our first grade teachers, was also there.  She can hardly wait for school to start so she can meet all of you!  It would be a good idea to practice saying the first grade teachers' names even though you don't get to find out which one is your teacher until just before school begins.  So there is Mrs. Johnson, Mrs. Dixon, and Mrs. Hartenstein.  That last name seems a little tricky, but try saying it in three parts like this:  Har-ten-steen.

Now that I am home from vacation and finished with my class, I need to work on cleaning and organizing my house.  Do you spend time helping with chores at home?  What kinds of things do you help with?  Do you want to come and clean my house?  Ha, ha, ha!  I am just kidding!  I hope you are all doing well, and I still miss you!

Love, Mrs. Prowse

Fourth of July

Dear girls and boys,

Today is Friday, July 4, 2014.  Happy Independence Day!  I hope that you get to see some beautiful fireworks tonight. That is so much fun!

Omaha weather is a lot different than Albany. It is very hot and the humidity makes your skin feel sticky. It does not even cool down at nighttime!  I had a fun time visiting my family in Omaha, but my dad got sick so we stayed some extra time. I am glad that he feels better!  Then on our way home to Oregon my tummy got sick and I just wanted to climb into bed.  I feel better now.

I hope you are also feeling well and that you are enjoying your summer!

I miss you!  Love, Mrs. Prowse
